This is the second ZenDrive that I built; the first got “appropriated” by a friend when he heard how great it sounds...
I built this pedal on an Aion electronics circuit board using film caps, metal-film resistors, etc.
True bypass and power-supply only (batteries aren’t eco-friendly IMO).
Enclosure is a 1590B-size, finished in metal flake purple, with a hot-pink LED.
Controls are very simple: gain, and level do exactly what you’d expect, and tone is a simple treble roll-off.
“Voice” is the only knob that’s unusual; as you turn it higher, the sound gets thinner and more gainy. But at minimum, the sound is thick and relatively clean, with no low-end loss.
