Details

Up for sale is my 2014 Fender Custom Shop Precision NOS aka Proto-P. Finish is a NAMM only Yellow/Blond. See second picture in this thread NAMM pics: New Fender Proto P-Bass

Weight is 9 lbs 2 ozs. TV Jones Blade pickup, reverse Tuners, Quartersawn satin maple neck. Special design Custom RSL bridge. Tweed case but no case candy. Includes Certificate and other paperwork/tags. Price includes shipping to the lower 48 states

The condition of this bass is excellent, very light player wear. Only issue is a couple small nicks around the bottom strap button that you can see in the pictures, which was how I received it. The maple neck on this bass is beautiful, and really comfortable to play. The TV Jones is definitely in the P-Bass sonic realm, but definitely its own thing.

$1850 includes shipping to US48. PayPal is fine.

Please explain what you mean by "the TV Jones is in the same realm as the Pbass".
Thanks

Argh. I should know better that to make reference to tone in a FS ad. In my humble opinion, it's all pretty subjective. That said, to my ears, the TV Jones sounds like a P-Bass, but a bit more refined and consistent from top to bottom. Nice fat round bottom end, and top end the rings louder and clearer than most traditional P-basses I've had. The growl and bark is there when you dig in, but again maybe a bit more refined than a good old fashioned P. It's nice and hot for a passive pickup, similar I would say to Lindy Fralin pbass pickups I've had over the years.

What is the nut width and neck shape? Are these 1.75 and a soft V like the CS55?
