I have owned this bass for several years and have always loved it. The only reason I’m considering selling is because I never get an opportunity to play it. I use Skjold basses exclusively and I’d love to get another fretted 5 I could use for gigging.
This is the best fretless bass you could possibly imagine. The acoustic chambers in the body resonate like nothing you have ever played. The range of tones available is staggering.
The one caveat I will mention is these basses are chambered for tone, not weight so if you are looking for a 7lb bass, this isn’t the one. I can get an accurate weight, but I seem to remember weighing it around 10.5lbs or so.
This bass would spec out around $8000 if you ordered it from Pete.
