Selling a hard-to-find original power transformer from a 1971 Ampeg V4b (V4). As the photos show, it is incredibly clean. It was just tested by a certified Ampeg repair shop in CT and functions perfectly. One red wire had a nick in it, which the Ampeg tech repaired.
How did I get this? Well, it came out of my V4b which I took to another tech (non ampeg) because it was having problems. The tech misdiagnosed the problem and needlessly replaced the transformer with a new one from Fliptops and returned the old one to me. On a hunch, I decided to have the old one tested and it turns out it works perfectly. I decided to just sell the vintage one rather than reinstall it.
This is the same transformer used in an Ampeg V4 from that era. Numbers are: 300705-1/89300560/682331
