Hi TB,

I just picked up this monster, but quickly figured out Bartolini pickups are not for me, so instead of modifying this one, I'm putting her back up for sale. In the same condition I bought her in and super cool. Fast graphite neck attached to a body made of an alder core and composite wings. Bartolini pickups with a Noll 3-Band preamp with active/passive push pull. Very versatile with a big tone. The body has a cool black/aluminum sparkle flek finish. 10lbs via my postal scale. Condition is good with normal playwear, no big bumps or dings. l will ship in a new gig bag full insured. Currently tuned to A standard and sounds huge!

Hi,

I just picked up a 5-string graphite bass made by a "local" builder. The previous owner put in bartolinis. I originally had a bass in the previous century that had EMGS and a graphite neck. Just curious, what don't you like about the pickups? I've only played it through my amp once and it had a warm booming sound. I kinda dug it. Who knows if I'll ever play out with it. I'm 58 and very achy, but I have enjoyed this walk down memory lane.
I wish you the best in your sale. Spent a lot of time in San Diego while in the Navy and one semester of grad music theory school at San Diego State. That's when I got my big disability settlement in '02.

I don’t like the top end. It’s too high. Bass freq is ok.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind if I play out with it. I have a 500W Terra Nova Eden Amp with matching 210 cab.
