It has the normal belt scratches and slightly worn sides of a bass that's been used. Small chip on upper bout. - see pics.

It has been used in numerous regional orchestras.

The bass is in Northwest Arkansas. About 2 hours from Tulsa, 3.5 from Oklahoma City, 3.5 from Kansas City. This is a great intermediate bass.

String length - 41 3/4", body length is 45 3/4"

I owned the same model from the same time period, and I'll echo what @groooooove stated above: This is a whale of a bass. IMO, Shen was doing their finest work during this time. These instruments have a buttery response under the bow and produce a sweet tone that's also got plenty of power. It was one of the most satisfying-to-play basses I owned and was on par or better than a lot of the Pöllmanns I played in college; no exaggeration. GLWTS!
