This is the newest version with upgraded pickups and pre. I have an earlier model V7 Jazz and the pickups and pre sound different. I actually prefer the new version over the old.
This one weighs in at 9.4 pounds and sounds great. Has the rolled fingerboard edges, which makes it very comfy to play.
