This pickup goes head to head with my Novak P pickups in terms of depth and character. In fact I swapped this back & forth w/ my most recent Novak PB-V and it was a tough call to make.
Alnico 5. The box reads "10.5K", but my multimeter puts them closer to 10.4K. Clear deep lows, balanced mids with good low mid grunt and a little high mid "push", clear highs with a nice high end roll off (no shrillness).
These are the best deal going right now for P Pickups, and you can get one here even cheaper than new.
NOTE: The cover has some small dings near the screw hole on the E side of the PU. Hardly visible, see pics.
