Up for sale is a beautiful Spector NS2J made in Spector's Woodstock factory in May of 2000 for endorsed artist Dave Fowler. I am the third owner, having acquired the bass via Todd Cooke.
Quilted Maple body
Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl "crown" inlays
2 EMG J pickups with US 9V Haz preamp
Vol/Bal/Bass/Treble controls
Hipshot Dtuner installed.
The bass features a really nice thinner neck profile than many other US Spector's. I would compare it to some of the old Kramer era ones. Standard width, but thinner front to back.
I also changed the hardware to chrome (I don't have the original hardware). The photo showing it with gold is from when Todd owned it, and it is a pro photo that really shows the grain.
The bass is in great shape. The only damage to mention is that when I removed the gold hardware, I discovered the screw on the Hipshot (gold one) had broken off. I had the bass professionally repaired at Todd's Music Exchange in Metairie, LA. They got the broken screw out and added a down to allow for a new one. This created some finish damage, but it is covered up by the Hipshot Dtuner. I took a picture with just the extra tuning key that is included with the bass, and even that covers it up. Just want you to be aware. 100% functioning.
Comes with OHSC. Case is definitely a little beat, but protects the bass well.
Currently strung with D'Addario XL's 45-105 and professionally set up by Strange Guitarworks.
Price drop to $2750 firm includes shipping in continental US.
I will consider a few trades. Those would be a Mike Lull T4, some type of jazz or P bass like a Fender Custom Shop, etc. Only 4 strings. Feel free to PM me if interested.
