Mint condition, very low miles. If you know what this is then you know what this is. NYC built, same great electronics, high end quality at a budget price. This one is particularly nice. Alder body, sage green satin finish, nice chocolatey board, subtle flame on the back of the neck, weighs in at 8lbs. I got this one with the hard alligator case, so you will too. After going Portabag for my first two Sadowskys, I was pleasantly surprised how nice the hard case is. Actually, I shouldn't have been - these guys are a class act in every respect.

What year was this bass built? Is that 8.0 lbs an accurate weight?

Yes, that's it. I think Sadowsky used more intense direct lighting for their photo, which causes things to look a bit lighter than they really are. I prefer to shoot my photos in natural light when possible because it gives a better indication of what the colors really look like. In this case, I think mine are more accurate.

Rick, I like the looks of that bass, and 8 lbs in right in the heart of my “weight sweet spot”. I’m just mulling over how many basses and other gear I would need to sell to afford buying it. Knowing the great instruments that Sadowsky NYC basses are (I have owned three of them in the last 12 years), that would probably be the only Jazz-style bass that I’d need, for sure!
