This is truly unique bass – a lovingly (and expensively) restored 1981 BC Rich USA Eagle four-string. It is in as-new condition, with no dents, dings or scratches. It is almost all exotic koa wood, including the through-neck and body wings, with maple stringers sandwiched in between. The neck has a rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl diamond inlays, 24 frets and a 1-9/16"nut (34" scale). There is no discernible fret wear. Finish is tobacco burst gloss on body and neck. Hardware is chrome – Badass I bridge and Grover 'wavy' tuners, all in wonderful condition. Pickups are Dimarzio P's. Electronics are the original Neal Moser circuit, updated by Neal himself. Controls include master volume, preamp volume, preamp on/off, passive tone roll-off, pickup selector, pickup phase and individual series/parallel switches, and 6-way Varitone control (chicken-head knob). There is a lot of tone in here, and the preamp can create nice, warm overdrive on demand. Bass weighs 9 lbs., 0 oz. and balances perfectly on a strap. It will ship in a hard case for safety.
