Details

Selling my Warmoth G4. I built this bass in 2009 with the following parts:
Warmoth G4 body (alder back, select quilted maple top)
Status-Graphite Jazz neck (side dots only, no face dots)
Hammon Darkstar pickups
Hipshot Triple Lockdown string-thru bridge
Gotoh GB7 tuners
Hipshot quick release 3-string retainer
Sadowsky knobs Gibson 3-way pickup selector switch
Threaded inserts and 10-24 machine screws neck joint (inserts installed by Mike Lull)

The bass weighs a fairly light 8.2lbs according to my digital scale which makes it very manageable on long gigs. The long upper horn also makes it hang on a strap very ergonomically.

Threaded inserts were installed by Mike Lull. Pole pieces are in roughly 60s Jazz positions. Current wiring goes from the pickups to the 3-way pickup selector (neck-solo, 50/50, bridge-solo) and then straight to the output jack, but pots are in-place so you could add a capacitor and easily wire it for passive volume and tone. The bass is currently setup with low action and is wearing La Bella black nylon tapewound strings that are completely broken in. I'll also include a fresh set of tapes and a fresh set of rounds with the sale. Includes a basically new Fender gig bag.

Cost for the parts alone would run $1,865 but you can pick up this absolutely killer bass for $1,100 shipped to the lower 48. No trades and price is non-negotiable.

Some examples from sessions played using this bass while wearing the current black nylon tapewound strings.

Good representation of the tone in a mix:
