**12/16/19 EDIT: The stock bridge is the most common complaint about the Longhorn basses, because its 19mm string spacing positions the E and G strings to close to the edges of the fretboard. So, to address that issue and continue with the “black on red” theme, I replaced the stock bridge with a black Schaller 3-D bridge with adjustable spacing. I also added new black aluminum Sadowsky-style knobs, which look really sharp! I have added new photos to Post #5, below, showing the new bridge and knobs.

I’ve decided to sell the nicer of my pair of 1993 Fender American Standard Jazz basses. This one is all original, in terrific condition, has an absolutely gorgeous Rosewood fretboard and feels/sounds fantastic. The one I’m going to keep is great too, but it has a replacement neck and I expect would be harder to sell.
If you are looking at this listing, the odds are you know what makes the 1989-93 American Standard Jazz “Longhorn” or “Boner” bass unique (full 22-fret neck, extended upper horn, V/V/T controls with master TBX tone circuit, 20mm string spacing, etc.). This one is great in every way, and it comes with all of the original Fender goodies like the red logo “chainsaw”-style molded hardshell case, owner’s manual, specifications booklet, Fender strap, and even the original hang tag! Plus, the Lipstick Red finish with a 3-ply black pickguard is just flat out sexy!
$975 shipped CONUS fully insured (add $25 for shipping to Western Region states). I don’t mind shipping internationally. There would obviously be some additional cost, but probably a lot less than you would think because I have a corporate account with an international freight forwarding company and get surprisingly good rates.
