Up for consideration is my recently acquired Sadowsky NYC Vintage. I really like this bass A LOT, but am pining for an MTD 435/535/635, Super or Saratoga.
This bass delivers every bit the killer sound that you would expect from a Sadowsky and has a solid body for a little extra oomph. Super responsive and bright and clear sounding - ash/maple all the way ala Marcus. Weight is @9.2 pounds. Beautiful grained piece of ash, natural finish, hum-cancelling pickups, and is in excellent condition. Sadowsky preamp with vintage tone control. Includes black and white pickguards. Disclosure- a tiny ding on the top of the headstock, a small surface crack at the neck heel in the poly- very typical, not at all into the wood, and a small chip in the upper corner of the black pickguard.
