Selling this totally strange Ampeg B25 bass head. Very unusual piece, potentially one of a kind, but I really don't know many details on it. The last owner and I both suspect that it's model built on the side by an employee, or something to that nature, due to a few very odd design elements. I was told that the codes and design date it to 1971, but supposedly the b25 was only made in 1969? I don't know, but it's cool.
The amp generally works and sounds great, totally has that vintage ampeg sound. I use it for both guitar and bass, and it sounds great with both. I think maybe one channel is meant for bass and one for guitar? They can be jumpered.
The problems- the bottom left input no longer works. The top left input jack works, and both inputs on the second channel work. Condition is as you see it- rusty jacks and handle, strange labels, worn tolex, torn grill cloth. All the knobs and at least two pots have been replaced. The other four pots work fine, but are getting soggy at the each end.
