It is in Montego Black with chrome hardware. It currently has DiMarzio model PJ pickups in it, but I will include the original ones as well. The neck is jazz style poly coated. The bass was made in Japan and is in overall great shape for its age.

shipping: buyer pays actual estimated shipping.

Trade interest is a Fender jazz bass, or Thunderbird. Possibly a Fender Mustang.
or a Aguilar Amplification TH500 or AG700

From my understanding it was a part of the “deluxe” series vs a standard p or j bass. Specs are directly from Fender.
One of the dozens of examples of Fender's often poorly thought out and confusing naming decisions. "Deluxe series" is different than the Deluxe model designation for the P-Lyte's. The Precision Bass Lyte Deluxe models have mahogany bodies and gold hardware. Here is a pic of a P-Lyte Deluxe (the gold knobs were replaced and the prior owner added the thumb rest):

The Precision Lytes are terrific basses. I particularly like the slightly downsized body and jazz width 22-fret neck. Someone will be very happy with this bass.

Nice looking pbass lyte deluxe. I have played both and yes totally get the confusion, but I don’t think anyone knows what series is what with Fender and I love my Fender’s.

I agree. Regardless of the series or model names, the P-Lyte's are great basses and a really good value. The only reason I don't still own the one I had was that the prior owner had so much remorse over selling the bass that he ran a Craigslist ad to locate me and bought it back for $125 more than I had paid him for it! (FWIW, I wasn't taking advantage, he threw in the additional amount in appreciation of my willingness to sell it back to him. :))

Cool bass!

With the upgrades pickups, is it still active electronics or all passive now? Thanks

It is active electronics but passive pickups. The original was passive / active. The Dimarzios are just a lot hotter and a little darker than the originals.
