Details

Up for sale or trade is a killer 2002 Bass Studio 5 with a Blue Nitrocellulose finish.

Features:

-Swamp Ash Body

-Maple Fretboard

-3 piece Maple Neck

-FBass Single Coil Stacked Pickups

-Fbass 3 Band Boost Preamp

-Original Chrome Hardware

-20 Frets

The bass shows signs of wear and tear with scratching, checking, dings, and areas that the paint wore away all over the body and headstock. The neck has some wear marks, but the frets are in great shape. (Refer to Photos) I think the master volume knob has been replaced because it doesn’t match, but I’m not 100% positive.

The bass is in great playing shape with a nice straight neck, low action, and spot on intonation. It sounds incredible

I will include an old Reunion Blues padded gig-bag for safe shipping.

Asking $1750 shipped

Why are you selling it? How do you know it's a studio vs a BN5? I don't know how to tell.

The reverb ad says it was a BN5.

I was curious about this too when I got my Studio.

Here's the primary differences from F Bass

This one listed is an earlier build than that special run referenced in the link, so there might be some differences (no fingerboard dots, for instance). But the fundamentals should be the same. The smoother, rounded lower bout is a dead giveaway.

I only know it's a studio because I sent the serial number to Fbass after I bought it. They sent me back over the specs and it came up as a Studio model not a BN5. The primary difference between the two is the number of frets and scale length. I'm only selling to fund other purchases I have made recently.
