Fantastic bass for its price range. Excellent choice for college or advancing high school student. Big sound for jazz and rich tone under the bow. Lots of friends who have played this bass have remarked on its quality of construction and sound. Set up very comfortably as well.
Calin Wultur is the maker and it's the Panormo model. Carved spruce top and maple back and sides. That maker has a few different levels of basses, I believe this is middle level. I paid $3,500 for it in 2009 in used condition, I believe the guy at the shop said he had been using it for rentals. I'm including a Mooradian deluxe bag (these are the absolute best) that's a little worn but very functional, and a Gaines bass wheel. I'd like to get the same for it, $3,500 with the above included. It's got a few dings but is in great shape. I had it through 4 years of college and hundreds of gigs.
