here we have a 2007 ken smith bsr5 all walnut, 3 piece neck. 9.96lbs. original hardcase great shape. smith leather strap. sounds great, low action, no buzz, truss rod works. selling it for what i paid, acquired a sought after bass and need to thin things down. please no trades im all good now! 18 volt pre! sounds fantastic.. $100 flat rate shipping, prices are out of control... It turns out these bolt on models are too expensive to make and will no longer be made, which in time, will make them highly collectable! give a listen to the master himself at 3:17.

Can the electronics be put into passive? Checked Ken's website but I couldn't find the answer

Batteries do not need to be dead to pull volume control to make the bass electronics passive. Just pul up on the volume control and your instantly in passive mode. All 42 Ken Smiths I have owned have been that way from 1989 to now. I believe that dated back to the mid 1980's or before. Ken did this because he was a studio player and in the studio, you don't waste time changing batteries. Time is money and money is time.
