Details

Here’s a pretty special 2x12 cabinet. Started life as the legendary Epifani T-212 NYC. The speakers were swapped with neodymium ones per Nick Epifani’s recommendation, still 4 ohms. The tweeter and crossover were removed. The fiberglass inside was replaced with egg carton type stuff. I peeled the rat fur off and gave it a Duratex finish, and added new black metal corners and rubber feet on several sides.

Sounds glorious, looks great, and is a reasonable weight after shedding a couple dozen pounds (maybe fortyish now, but that's a guess).

Tweeter, crossover, original corners, and badge included.

Asking $500 $400 $333. Pickup in the Albany NY area. Only trade considerations would be a Revsound 210 or RS28V.

Hi, approximately how long did it take to remove the rat fir off the cab? IT is funny the work you did to your cab was exactly what I have been thinking about doing to mine. Thanks.

About a million hours, I’d say. I’d never do it again, totally not worth the work, sorry to say. I read that different glues are different, but this one really sucked.

Holy Crap! I knew in my mind that it wouldn't be easy and now you confirmed it, Thank You! You just saved me a lot of work and aggravation, but you did a great job of stripping and sanding, the cab looks great and no rat fur!

Off topic, but I was thinking about getting the tone block 200 for a backup amp and to use with a 112 cab. What are your impressions?

Honestly, I am the wrong person to ask, as I have yet to gig with it. But here are my bedroom impressions:
- It is WAY louder than I thought it'd be.
- The breakup/drive/gain structure seems really great. It gets warm and slightly fuzzy as you turn the dial. Amp I had before was a Fender Rumble 500 (only briefly, also only bedroom play) I did not care for the overdrive, struck me as too much on when I only wanted a little.
- I really don't know how useful the tone knob will be in real life, but it seems okay at home...

Hope that's slightly helpful? Hah.
