here's this bass playing a bach chorale, captured with the built in mic on a zoom recorder in my little studio with no editing.
This absolutely pains me to do; I never thought I would go without this instrument. But, if I plan on commissioning a modern bass, I don't think I can afford to without selling this stunner.
Meticulously maintained by Jeff Bollbach. The crack at the scroll has been inspected by Jeff regularly over the years (i've had the bass around 8 years now) and he's told me it's nothing to worry about and isin't going anywhere on its own.
41 3/8" string length
Neck is obviously non original (neither is scroll, tuning plates I was told might be original.) the full restoration was done by Kolstein some time in the late 90's or early 2000s.
Asking $9500, slightly negotiable for quick sale.
