Long shot, in case anyone needs some serious fire power.
Crown K2
Power output: 500 watts into 8 ohms, 800 watts into 4 ohms, 1,250 watts into 2 ohms (per channel, stereo mode); 1,600 watts into 8 ohms, 2,500 watts into 4 ohms (bridge-mono mode)
This amp is dead quiet, both in self- noise and at operation (giant heat synch, no fans).
There is a gate function on the input, which has been bypassed.
Had been using this in a hi- fi rig, but have switched to powered speakers.
This will run all day long pumping 30hz without issue, well known for powering large scale PA sub woofers.
Works perfectly.
Just under 40 lbs.
Local pickup or will ship (buyer pays actual shipping cost).
I'm located in the Washington DC area, can meet in DC/ Northern Va./ Southern Md.

There are a couple of big rigs for sale right now, but if one were to get, say, THIS, and the Arkham Zephyr that's FS, they would have something perhaps even better sounding, cheaper, the same weight..

It's rather extreme for a bass amp, my whole reason for using it is that it's completely silent.
Will probably end up in the hands of someone who needs to run PA subs...

I use a Crown XLS 2002 for my subs. Kicks @$$!

The fact that they’re silent is huge. I use mine in my practice room for exactly that reason. It powers my PA and a bass pre — and is completely silent! Highly recommended.

Did you do the mod on yours to bypass the "gate"? I believe that was part of the topology, in order to conserve power for installs, so it wouldn't have to be powered down- like a sleep mode. Earlier models had a shorter time frame. A simple jumper bypasses the circuit, I had it done due to running the the amp so conservatively. Standard practice with these...
