Body (only) from MIM Special Limited Edition Jazz Bass (4-string). It's from 2002 but in very nice condition- One finish crack beneath the neck pocket (see photo). A couple of other nicks that wouldn't even show up on photos. Beautiful flame top. $299, includes $30 towards CONUS shipping (only). Thanks.

Hi, Do you know how many frets are on the neck that went on this?

Wow, that's a beauty!

Just out of curiosity, was this one made when Fender was still using two neck-sized pickups instead of a longer, bridge-sized pup?

Interesting question- I had not heard that they did that. I guess I'd have to measure the pickups...
It was a cost-cutting measure found on the Mexican-made Standard Jazzes somewhere around the late-'90s/early-00's. So, for example, if you take a really close look at an early-00's MIM Fender Jazz in Midnight Wine, there's a chance that the bridge pickup is actually a second neck pickup.

I just measured the pickups- Not the same size- The bridge pickup is slightly larger, as one would expect...
