This is my second BO5 that I've owned. And this one is less baseball bat shaped than the newer one and I personally thought more comfortable. I've read this has a more sought after neck profile than later years but I'd compare it to a nice comfortable chunky P bass neck. I typically play jazz or EBMM basses and the neck profile of this bass isn't uncomfortable or didn't take any adjustment.

Cool thanks. Looking for a 4 string tho. Can't decide between a thumb or rickenbacker. I already own a German made Warwick corvette $$ (in profile pic) tho but heard the thumb is better for metal sometimes but the $$ has plenty of tones for that too. The thumb is just a jazz bass right? I definitely prefer Wenge and wish my $$ had it.
