This is a Spector SB-1, in Black Walnut, built in Brooklyn, NY in 1977. The serial number is both etched into the side of the Badass bridge, and stamped into the wood under the control cover plate. The electronics are stock, with the original custom made DiMarzio Model P encased in the funky shaped resin casting. Old school German Schaller tuners. Solid Black Walnut body wings, maple neck, pau ferro fingerboard which was professionally defretted and coated with a hard glossy resin with a mirror polish. It would not be difficult to sand this off and refret it if someone wanted to put it back to stock. It's beautiful. At one point the body wings were starting to gap where they meet the center block from shrinkage, but they were stabilized and filled/ glued, and are solid. This is hardly noticeable. Weight is 9 lbs. 5 oz. This thing sounds really nice, and has good fretless "mwhaah" ! The switch does series/ parallel. Two intonation screws on the bridge are replaced, and a little longer, but work properly. Will ship in a hardshell case, Continental US only, shipping included.
This is a piece of Spector history for sure, and if you are a Spector collector you need this!
