For sale is my G&L L-2500 Fretless. I purchased this bass this year, expecting to fall in love with it, but sadly it hasn't really resonated with me. I had it set-up professionally about 2 weeks ago by a local tech and, while it plays beautifully, I just don't find it's the right bass for me.
The bass is in flawless condition with the exception of a tiny scratch on the neck around the 7th fret towards the B string. See pic.
The best thing about these basses is the wide variety of tonal possibilities. I can get pretty much any sound I want out of this thing - Jaco, Gary, round walking lines, sharp funk, big "mwah". The electronics allow for a wide range of sound.
I put the price at $1400 because I have not encountered another one of these (fretless with the ebony fretboard, swamp ash body, USA made in perfect condition.) I don't know when they stopped making this particular version of the L2500. Maybe someone can comment if they know more!
I am shipping Canada, so I will cover shipping if its in Canada, otherwise I may ask to go splits on the shipping.
