Details

1997 Ken Smith bsr 4m. Has original case and weighs 8lbs 5 oz and plays great. The fretboard had been leveled and refretted and plays great. Unfortunately, the serial was removed on the fretboard but is still inside the cavity. Other than that there is some wear on the face but it plays and sounds just like a Smith. Lightweight Smith basses aren't easy to come by.

Sorry every one. This DOES have a passive mode. The volume knob is push-pull. Pull it up for passive mode. The mids are sweepable,

Hello Puma, nice cover! I'm going on a limb and assuming this is the same bass: Ken Smith BSR4M 1997 Ash / Walnut | LeoLikesBass | Reverb

Looks like it was at a shop in NC for about $2,000. I'm actually quite interested, but just wanted to get some history on the instrument before making an offer. Thanks!

How is the action and setup? My first concern is always neck stability with any used instrument.

It is the same bass. it is set up really nice. The neck is straight and it plays really fast and sounds great. I was actually thinking to keep it after making that video. I treated the wood this weekend with some Warwick surface finisher. I think it is the first time this bass has ever been treated. But, it looks better and I feel better taking care of the natural woods. Anyway, I responded to your PM we can work out whatever works best for you. Thanks,
