2016 built, if you’re looking, you know what it is...The good stuff- pickup output balance is very even, extremely good playability, truss rod nuts are perfect, E string is strong, no obvious dead notes, the push-pull for vintage tone is actually usable. Weight is around 9 pounds, neck profile is about average for the year, on the big side- not wafer-thin like the late 60’s, but not a 2x4 either. Has the distinct Rick sound, but beefier, sorta blended with P bass supportiveness. Pushed hard with a pick, it has more growl than a Florida tiger farm... Stock bridge pickup cover in the factory case. Currently wearing 45-100 Slinkys.
The bad stuff- Has a chip on the front edge by the tailpiece, a chip on the back of the headstock near the tuners, a few tiny impressions, it’s been gigged. Has the usual factory finish issues around the tailpiece, and of course, a bit of tail lift, but nothing to worry about.
The “ugly”- somebody - not me- installed a Hipshot and reamed the hole for the E tuner larger. The stock tuner is back on, the ferrule is seated, and there’s no issues with it, but I am giving full disclosure. It is not “mint”, hence the low price, but if you want a great sounding player Rick, not a museum piece, have I got a deal for you! A recent acquisition means that something(s) have to move, so...
$1275 USD firm shipped to your door Canada and US 48. Given that the borders are closed, I’m shipping from my Canadian address, but there’s no taxes or duties, and I’ll eat the extra cost (thus the firm price). Please, no trades (“She Who Must Be Obeyed” will not be amused if a shipping box comes in the door). Questions? HMU. Stay safe, TB!
