Up for trade is my absolutely beautiful Fender USA P-Bass. It is simply stunning in person. Here are some details:
  • 2011 60th Anniversary American Special model
  • Candy Apple Red (CAR) finish. The gold base coat with the translucent red top coat is amazing to see - this isn't your standard flat red finish!
  • Graphite reinforced neck, fluted tuner posts, chrome P-bass knobs
  • Light and well-balanced at 8.3 lbs.
  • Aguilar AG-4P-60 pickup. Both Aguilar and factory pickup covers included
  • Noble 500k pots, Kimber wire, and ZoSo cap
  • Fender chrome pickup and bridge covers included
  • Fender vintage threaded-saddle bridge
  • Fender Pure Vintage '63 cellulose nitrate tortoise shell pickguard. Original black pickguard included
  • Fender tug bar
  • Fender vintage strap buttons
  • Fender 9050 flatwound strings
  • Fully shielded control and pickup cavities
  • Fender deluxe molded rectangular case
  • Powerful, thumpy tone with well-defined mids and beefy lows
  • Plays perfectly and effortlessly (Slimmer 1-5/8" nut, shallow C profile, and 9-1/2" radius)
  • The neck is extremely stable and has not needed any adjustment. The truss rod tool is included and I did verify that the truss rod moves easily in both directions
I'm not in any kind of hurry to trade this wonderful bass, but I am curious as to what might be out there. My preference is for USA or European 4-string fretted basses. I'm not currently interested in cash offers. Trade offers only, please. Please feel free to send me your trade offers in a PM.

1) a black Peavey Fury with an EMG GZR installed (original pickup and wiring included.) Some dings, but a great narrow neck that plays great. It sounds like a quintessential P. (value $300)

2) This bass I recently acquired through TB. (value $700)

Both currently have TI flats on them, which adds about $50 to the value of each if you want to keep those (pricey) strings.

I would ship both well packed in the same box without cases.

Any interest?

I have a Sadowsky Metroline Jazz in the exact same color scheme as your bass - the two would make a nice pair.
