For sale Steinberger L-2 rare original 5 String

Got one myself from a fellow TB'er. Outstanding! GLWTS

EDIT: Mine's an XL2, sorry for sidetrack - but they are both great!

According an article the 5 string L2 came out in 1982 and the XL were 1984. Being carbon fiber are they very heavy?

My L2 weighs 7.5 pounds.

This one is an L2, not an XL2, because of the screws and decal on the top.

How is String Space? 13.5mm? 16.5mm?

in 1990 i bought a bolt-on 5-string steinberger in new york...do you accept trades? my playing days are over but what a souvenir to have and to play in my studio at 59 years of age...i have a modulus prototype 5 with bartolinis...also built in 1990...met jerry dorsch who built it...he cofounded modulus with G. Gould...bought it from greg taylor here last year.

So curious about that B string...

Not all, mine is 3.5kg/7.7lbs, best bass I ever had, a real beast in tone.
