Extremely lightweight! It looks like ash, but I don't think it is because this may be the lightest bass body I've encountered. Maybe empress wood.
Very unique color: Dark cherry-to-almost purple edges to red/ pink burst. Almost iridescent, it seems to change colors in different lights.
Received this in a trade, not sure of the manufacturer of the body.
The neck pocket fits a Fender neck, 4” length x 2 7/16” width. One Fender type neck fit perfectly, another one would have required some sanding in the neck pocket to make it fit.
Has shielding paint in control & pickup cavities.
Has a few paint chips around the neck joint and couple of minor scratches, but overall in decent shape. On the back there is a dark spot in the wood near where the neck plate would be (See photos).
