1972 EB Earthwood bass. Professionally rebuilt/upgraded. I acquired it 15 years ago, it had already been modified with an Ebony fingerboard, Pearl cloud inlays, and cut down headstock. The top was caving in (a normal problem for these) so I removed it, and built a new top, with more conventional bracing. I secured any loose bracing on the back and sides, and installed the top. New tortoise binding, and a nitro lacquer finish. Pretty much a new bass. I Made a new bridge, installed a Shadow pickup, and Fishman preamp. The bass plays great, and sounds beautiful.
Most Earthwoods were plain jane models, this one could have been the deluxe model they never built. It comes with an original Ernie Ball Earthwood gig bag.

Wow! I didn't even know those existed. That body cavity seems massive. I imagine you feel that in your bones when you play it! GLWTS

This is wicked cool... and as a side note. What I wouldn't give to be able to have an Azola Jazzman made... didn't know about them in time and now they're rare as hens teeth. Duncan Mullins ruined me on his.

Too cool! I have an Earthwood that is in rough shape, but it sounds like nothing else. Much more powerful and focused low end than any other acoustic I've played.

(also have an Azola Deco bass that I adore and play all the time. One of my favorites :D )
