Up for sale is a really killer 2017 Beardly Custom 4 String PJ
This one features Mahogany wings matched with a killer purple heart neck through design with maple body stringers and headstock accents. The fretboard is made from a really nice piece of bloodwood, and the electronics cavity cover is a cocobolo. The bass was renecked by Rick from Beardly about a year ago after the original neck had been snapped off when an object fell on it in a gig bag. The electronics on this one consist of a Organic P bass pickup(Made in Peru) in the neck position and a Nordstrand Fat single in the bridge. It is wired passive with a Volume, Volume, Tone knob setup. All hardware used on the bass is Hipshot. It is also shielded and has a two way truss rod. 1.5" at the nut. 34" Scale. 8.2 lbs. on my bathroom scale
The bass is in really nice playing shape, but there is slightly more relief on the E string side of the neck than there is on the G string side. The nut appears to have been removed and shimmed by a previous owner on the both sides as well. I did my best to get it pretty straight, but I'm sure a skilled tech could get it perfect. I do have it set up with comfortable string height and solid intonation and it sounds really nice. There's also a few minor dings and scratches, but nothing substantial enough to show up in photos.
