I have an old bass coming back to me and need to raise some funds and make some room for it.

This 2006 Cirrus bolt-on is in Excellent+ condition and still has the plastic on the cavity/battery covers. (The specs sticker is now on the inside of the cavity cover).

It’s got a nicely-grained Bubinga top over a walnut body with a classy contrasted forearm contour. The neck is a rock-solid walnut with a wedge fingerboard, and the action is very low and plays cleanly with no buzz.

It’s also got the 18-volt Millenium preamp with the mid-sweep

I prefer the bolt-on Cirrus basses to the neck-through models. I would put this up against any big $ boutique bass and it would hold its own with ease. They are pretty rare and don’t come up often, especially in this condition.

No issues at all with this bass - just need to make some room.
Includes Peavey hardshell case.

$999 shipped in the continental US.

Thanks for looking.

That looks familiar

Yessir. BasikLee was extremely kind to sell me one of his basses that he seemed to have kept in a glass case.
I bugged him for a while to get this, but the bass I’m expecting soon is a old sentimental favorite that I can’t pass up.

I might be blind (or just wrong), but body on this one looks like walnut.

I'm guessing it really "barks" with that wood combo. It is tempting. Got any sound clips?

I don't have any of me playing, but it's definitely got that Ken Smith / Kubicki punch to it. Here are a few videos that do a nice job showing the tone of the Cirrus basses.

And the more agressive slap tone:

I understand that the neck-through Cirrus models are 35” scale. Are the bolt on models also 35”, or are they 34” scale?

The 4-string USA bolt-ons are 34” scale.
The 5-string USA bolt-ons are 35”.

Got it. Thanks. FWIW, I'm actually a little relieved that this one isn't 34" because I don't know if I would have had the self control to not buy it. (Due to injuries a 35" just isn't an option). It is a gorgeous bass. I just got my first Peavey and I'm amazed at how great it is, and it's a Fury, not a high-end model like the Cirrus. I imagine the build quality and everything about this bass is superb. GLWTS!

Thank you. It is a nice bass and I’m re-learning that USA Peavey’s really are amazing instruments, especially for their price point.
