It works great - super clean - can get gritty with the gain cranked up - I am just not using it that much.
I recently acquired this most excellent preamp from fellow a talkbasser and it is in excellent condition. Sounds/performs/functions perfectly! Awesome transparent/musical tube tone with endless EQ and output!
The previous owner had replaced the Chinese 12ax7 tube with a NOS GE 12ax7 from the 70’s. (Great warm tone)
This is one great sounding preamp that works well for electric and upright bass.
I've used it with both by upright and my electric basses on a number of shows with a powered cab. QSC K Series.
