Made in 2015 by Italian luthier Luciano Golia in Turin, Italy and finished in Michigan -- where Mr. Golia lives now -- with a spruce top, poplar back and sides, and quality hardware. I'm the original / sole owner of this bass.
This bass is Mr. Golia’s orchestral model, with a large lower bout for depth and smaller upper bout for easy access to the upper register. In 2018 this bass was set up by Zach Lane (Brooklyn, NY) with a new ebony fingerboard and new adjustable bridge -
the fingerboard goes up to a high E.
The bass has a clear, rich, and even sound all the way through its range. Set up currently with an ebony tailpiece, flexocore deluxe strings, and ebony edge bumpers. Sale will include a custom fitted Messina case in great condition.
The bass is now at Finlay + Gage in NYC. Listing to come soon.
