edit: I’ve been asked what better then new meant and so here is my explanation.

fresh out of the box, the set up was not up to standard. There was some sawdust around the pups. The bass was a bit dryer then I prefer and needed some oil. Just some little things like that. I know it is a production bass but I guess my standard are a bit higher when it comes to initial presentation.

So I’m putting the GAS on hold. Literally..... I had my truck in for a fall service at the shop and.... well, the shop got broke into and they stole my truck....

Ill leave this up for sale for now but looks like it may be to put towards new wheels instead. :(

So I got my truck back. In pretty good condition all things considered. A few expenses required but not nearly the catastrophe it appeared to be.
That said, since resolving to sell this I figured I’ll keep it up and just see what happens. I do still have a certain GAS that hasn’t gone away through this so I will add trade options.

Yes. It’s a great player with a very comfortable neck and good ergonomics IMO. It’s definitely the lightest bass I’ve ever had.

the one I’m eyeing up locally is actually a 2008 root beer. I didn’t realize they have a new batch. Thanks for the encouragement. Even if this sells I may just hold the funds with these crazy times though.

Ah. That ginger burst is a gorgeous finish. I’m happy to have not seen a bongo six in that yet!!! :drool:

It’s a 5er. Both killer basses but a)I don’t know why I keep adding 5 strings to my harem when I gravitate to my sixes and b) they don’t offer me the diversity I’m looking for. More so redundancy.

c) don’t mean to sound like a snob but I’m looking for something a bit different.

Yeah I like that color man..the only reason why I have a 5 string dinggy is because no one had a brand new 6er in stock anywhere I looked..(this was 3 months ago) so I was so desperate for a dinghy I settled for a 5 banger. Which is an amazing bass but I want that 6th string..

i sent you a pm on that topic a while back I Think. From some experiences I’ve had I think the bongos are better then the kiesels and the Ibanez is also better then the kiesels. I like kiesel and Carvin but that’s just how I’d rank them. A good used K/C is a great value but new I’m mot so sure.

the Ibanez is fantastic on many ways. It’s just truly excess to my needs and I feel the bongo will give me a different flavour where as the Ibanez comes closer to the Dingwalls I already have.
