I think everyone knows of the modifications EBMM made to the venerable Stingray design to come up with the Special, improving ergonomics and weight while retaining the classic tones. This includes tweaks to the pickups (now Neodymium) and electronics (now 18V), a slight trimming of body shape for better neck access, lighter-weight hardware and, best of all, roasting of the maple neck. This bass comes in the extremely cool charcoal sparkle finish. It is very hard to capture the wow factor of the finish in photos – you have to see it yourself. Neck is roasted maple with oil/wax finish and ebony fretboard. It is stock except for the addition of black Dunlop strap locks (black OEM ones included). This bass is in mint condition, with the only sign of wear being minimal scuffing on pickguard. Weight is 9 lbs, 3 oz.
