Two great preamps. Two great prices. I got good deals on these so I’m passing the good deals on.

Both connected pretty darn easily and are fully function with no issues to their respective software downloads. Honestly, if I can figure that stuff out, anybody can.

Nux Melvin Lee Davis Preamp/DI. Does a ridiculous amount of tone shaping for the money. Comes with box and manual. $125 shipped.

**Sold** Atomic Amps Bass Box. Does even more than the Nux for not a whole lot more. These are now listed at $399 on the Atomic Amps site. (They were previously at an introductory price of $299.) Comes with box, power supply and cord thingy to connect to a computer. $225 shipped. **Sold**

Do you know if the aux in feeds to the DI? I think on almost all pre's it doesn't, but if it did...

The thing that sets the Nux apart, at least for me, is the adjustable HPF on the cab sims. Most cab sims tend to be too dark/muddy for my tastes. But the HPF “opens them up” (for a lack of a better phrase before my full intake of morning caffeine).

I won’t be sorry if it doesn’t sell. The Shiftline 2x15 sounds particularly good on my church gig.
