Details

Up for sale or trade is Valenti V21-J4 #136 with killer Sadowsky Electronics

I got this bass in a trade, and it is truly one of the best sounding and playing basses I’ve ever owned. This was my first Valenti, and it definitely lives up to all the good things I’ve heard about the quality, feel, and sound of his basses.

Features-

59 Burst finish

Swamp Ash Body

Graphite Reinforced Maple Neck with Maple Fingerboard

1 1/2” Nut Width

Sadowsky Pickups

Sadowsky Preamp W/VTC

Hipshot HB1 Tuners

Hipshot B1 Drop-tuner included

Hipshot Vintage Bridge with 19mm String Spacing

8.4 lbs

The bass has a few imperfections including two small neck pocket finish cracks (one pictured, and the other is too small to get a good picture of), two small holes drilled in the body for a thumb rest that’s no longer there, and a small ding that has been repaired by a previous owner. The body also has minor scratches, and the pickgaurd has some scratching. The neck is nice and straight, and the bass is setup with nice low action and solid intonation.

Open to offers

Mainly looking to sell to fund a recent bass purchase.

I've been gigging valenti basses a long time, have a few now, and have had a bunch over time.
Nino os a good buy building great basses.I can't answer questions about this bass, but I can answer Valenti q's in general and would be happy to.

I have two Valenti basses, and my wife has three of them. I've owned at least 6 or 7 Valentis over the last decade, and they are among the best basses that I have ever owned and played! I never (and I truly mean NEVER) play a gig without one or both of my Valenti basses. In addition, you won't find a better person to deal with than Nino Valenti.

By the way, I also own a Satin Series Sadowsky NYC 4-string, and I have owned two other NYC Sadowskys over the last 13 years (one modern 5-string and one vintage 4-string Jazz-style bass), and each of my Valenti basses has been every bit as good in every respect as these Sadowskys.

Well I own 1. #210 and it is a great instrument. On par with my Marco and Lull's. If I had the scratch, I'd snag this one.

Every time I play this one I have second thoughts about selling it. I'm going to leave it up to until the weekend..So if you're on the fence, feel free to pm me any questions or offers before I come to my senses.

As an owner of 3 Valenti basses (soon to be 4, as he is currently building me a Custom Series 5-string), I know exactly what you mean! I know that I am going to be selling at least one of these great Valenti basses, but I hate thinking about it .... I may even sell my Sadowsky NYC Satin Series Jazz-style bass before I let go of any of the Valentis.
