Details

Hey Talkbass,

I am moving along my recently acquired Fodera Monarch 6 Elite. This bass is a work of art. It was built for my friend docbass1218, it is four years old, and I am the second owner. The attention to detail is as good as it gets. The bass plays and sounds amazing, with a little extra oomph and air from the chambered walnut. This one can thump and it can growl. It has not been gigged and it has been well cared for.

The bass is in excellent condition. There are a lot of detailed pictures taken in full sunlight.

Walnut Burl Monarch 6 Elite - Fodera

Description from Fodera Webpage:
This Monarch 6 Elite was built for a customer here in the US, and features a chambered Walnut body, Alder tone block, Red Oak neck, and Ebony fingerboard. This wood combination gives the bass a warm yet articulate tone, with a big, open low end, a dark and punchy low-mid growl, and clear bell-like highs.

This bass also features a gorgeous Walnut Burl solid top, complete with matching wooden pickup covers and accented with gold hardware!

Hi. I'm actually the original owner of this bass. As such, I'd just like to add my two cents. This bass is Fodera perfection in every way!! The only reason that I decided to move this bass was because I wanted to move to a six string Fodera with slightly tighter spacing, 16.5mm. In fact, the bass that Fodera is now in the process of building for me will be just that, another six string. Furthermore, and to illustrate how much I love the incredible tone produced by this Monarch, I am using exactly the same tone woods on the new build. The chambered walnut wings, alder tone block, red oak neck, and ebony board is a magical combo. The only differences between this Monarch and my future Fodera will be an olive top wood and the slightly narrower spacing. Otherwise, my aim is to replicate the sound and make the new build sound just like this Monarch. I hope I don't sound too over the top when I say this, but whoever winds up with this bass is going to be very happy.

Lastly, Sithian is an awesome guy and an awesome TB'er, as well.
