Up on the block is my 2018 Fender Classic Series 70's Jazz Bass. This model is the precursor to the Vintera 70's jazz, designed to highlight vintage features from that era. This bass is superb, in excellent condition, very clean (no smoking/no Coronavirus household), purchased new from GC 14th St, NYC in June 2019 and has been my studio/closet bass since. Never left the house, everything is stock.
- Sunburst over alder body
- 3 ply b/w/b pickguard
- 7.25" radius Pao Ferro fretboard with white binding and pearloid inlays
- 1.5" nut
- 70's style stamped Fender tuners
- Bullet truss end (1/8" hex)
- Vintage style alnico pickups (70's position bridge and traditional neck position)
- Comes with a Road Runner Polyfoam case
This bass plays like a dream. Neck shape is not as thin as an Aerodyne or Geddy Lee, it has a bit more front to back thickness that feels real good in the hand. Straight, slight relief with easy action.
I made two small modifications to this bass: drilled screw holes for a neck pickup cover (not included, screws will be in place despite pictures), and shielded the electronics and pickup cavities with copper tape. It's dead silent!
There are minor dents and a ding on the back, tried to capture but barely noticeable unless in the right light.

The back of the neck has a light groove under the skunk stripe, around the 7th fret, again barely noticeable unless you're looking for it:

Selling to offset another purchase, for sale only, no trades thank you. Paypal or Venmo preferred, ships in the case as mentioned in a well packed box. Shipping included to CONUS only, DM if local to NYC or Long Island for pickup and discount.
Thanks for looking, I will miss this one!
