Details

This is a tough one for me to list. My daughter has nicknamed it "lovey", but I need to thin the herd and I have a bass almost identical to it.

Please read everything, as this bass is, well complicated. I got this bass and it came to me "very well played". The original neck, which I'll toss in as well, was so used, the rosewood in the 5-7 fret area was wearing away. I found someone who was selling an unfinished prototype neck for this bass (that's why the model is written in sharpie on the back and there is no head stock label and the serial number is strange). I finished the neck with tru-oil and dropped the original tuners back in.

The original pick guard was ruined and the pots were rusted. I replaced them and two of the knobs. One knob is original. When I wired it up, I couldn't get the fade pot to work properly. It acts as a switch, going from one pickup to the other. I'll give you a wiring diagram. Maybe you can fix it or throw a new preamp in. Other than that, the two band preamp and volume works fine.

The body does have buckle rash on the back. Please let me know if you have any questions.

This was set up at Vig Guitars.

I would be willing to include this as part of a swap for a Gibson style short scale bass - EB0 / SG style - I'm open to different brands. (Depending on what you got, I'd be willing to kick in some cash to make up the difference if it was the right item).

I just sold one of my basses, so I have some more flexibility on trades. I'd consider a Tl606 type cab or some sort of 4 string PJ bass. Thanks.
