NOW ACCEPTING TRADES!!!!

2006 Warwick Corvette Standard 5 (Lined Fretless)

This is 2006 Corvette Standard 5-String that started out as a Black Nitro fretted bass.
When I purchased this bass, it was in very bad shape.
It has since been professionally refinished in a very rich-looking, chocolate-brown, and sealed with a flat satin.
(You can still see and feel the original grain pattern of the swamp ash body!)

The neck was not in terrible shape and only needed some TLC and conditioning, but the frets were a mess.
As such, it has since been professionally converted into a lined fretless and looks absolutely amazing!

The control cavity has been upgraded with foil insulation and a 4-knob, John East Uni-Pre has been installed.
(4-knob, Volume/Blend Stack, Treble/Bass Stack (Pull for Bright), Mid-range/Mid-range Freq. Stack, Passive Tone (Push/Pull for Active/Passive)
UNI-PRE 4 Knob

This bass is gorgeous, plays and sounds fantastic!

It is a stain, not Tung Oil.
I can probably get the exact product name from the luthier if you wish, but it may take a few days to get a reply.
And yes, the neck was sanded accordingly and is smooth as silk.
My luthier originally put flat wounds on it, but I hated the way the string felt against the fretboard so I immediately restrung with Elixer Nickel Nanoweb 45-150, and it now plays smooth as butter!
If I had a specific band or opp where I could really use this Bass, I would definitely not be selling, as I’ve already lost my ass in the process of getting her to this condition, compared to how she was when I purchased her.
Let me know if you need any other info, pics, etc.

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking about it. I am hoping that your reply will be beneficial for others as well and I think it is.

I don’t want to keep anything from anyone, especially here at TB.
But to be completely upfront, I dropped $600 for this bass and it was a train wreck when I got her.
It was the epitome of a player’s Bass.
Finish, frets, hardware,...
TRASHED.
I dropped $300 on the refinish and neck work, and another $300 on the East Pre.
It is a night/day of what I had, and at this price, a flipping steal.
This Bass will be my last “fixer-upper”...

These are great Made In Germany ( i assume) basses. My German Corvette is similar vintage; think Modulus and sprinkle in the tone of tropical wood, just killer

Been out of the game for a while and I’m looking to mix things up. I’m usually a simple pbass kinda guy nothing fancy but I must say this has me gassin’ pretty hard. This bass just looks sexy really nice work on the refurb. I haven’t played bass in about 3 years and I haven’t played a fretless in 15. I wish I could just buy a fretted neck to go with it so I could have the option but as I looked on the Warwick forum I read they don’t sell necks. What a shame GLWTS
