Here's a cool and very unique bass for sale: the Spear Flextool with Jazz, Precision, and MusicMan style pickups. Lots of cool sounds for not a lot of scratch. It's all stock but a previous owner did a little relic job in on it (see pics). They also sanded the neck a little which gives it a nice smooth feel. This would be a good bass to try some different pickups or just leave stock.

It feels like a typical Jazz neck to me and it's not too heavy (I will try and get it weighed soon). Nice Lake Placid Blue type finish, rosewood fretboard with good looking binding. Frets are in nice condition with little wear. Neck and truss are in good shape. It's got some 45-105 nickels on it right now.
Controls are volume x 3 and a master tone. There's a kill switch as well.
I'll included a generic gig bag. Price included CONUS economy shipping such as Fedex or UPS ground.
Thanks

Cool bass, kinda too bad about the relic job, but that looks like a fun bass. I'm looking for a recording bass, and I'm curious. Any downside to all those pickups? And that wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker, just looking to know a little about the nature of the beastie there.

I've got a few amps here, wonder if you might be in for a trade? Im in RI, 02917... I could send a UPS shipping label if we end up dealing.

Not really interested in trades, sorry. Trying to downsize and get rid of stuff. I haven't noticed any downsides but I'm not really doing any recording. There are two demos in the Spear link here:

Can you please post a pic of the control cavity?

Re humbucker - are coil tap leads available? for switching to single coil.

Thank you.
