Technically speaking, S42 is the 4/4 lenght set.
But they can be put on a 3/4 size bass, with a bit less tension.

I am re/de-stocking my string box. Is there anything that you'd be interested in trying that would be a good trade for these?

I have s42 Spirocores in pretty good shape, but new ones wouldn't be terrible to have around.

The used strings came off a 3/4 bass so I’m not sure how well that would work on a 4/4??

The 3/4 set is called 3885. The 4/4 set is S42. S42 sets are lighter and can be used on 4/4 or 3/4 size.
