Any way to hear a little demo... bridge PU w/ boosted mids, perhaps?

check out Brady Muckelroy’s Facebook page and there’s tons of demos of these basses , this one has coil splitting on it to really give the bridge pickup versatility, I like to set the neck on parallel and the bridge on series . . . On a standard j bass I always perceived a loss of gain when I went to the bridge pickup but with this configuration they balance very nicely and when I roll to the bridge it gives me extra punch. Please feel free to ask anymore questions and I can definitely send you some demo videos if you’re interested in buying.

Thanks, I am interested. I am familiar with Mucks (just purchased a Muckelroy fretless), but haven't played or heard a Cherry neck-through with Maple board. Not exactly sure what to expect, tonally.

Oh, what does it weigh? Thanks.

I don’t have an exact weight , it’s way lighter than my 76 music man and my dads old Les Paul, I would guess around 8.5 lbs . . . As far as the tone the Cherry gives it a big orchestral sound like a piano string and the walnut kind of smooths it out a little bit. Supposedly birds eye maple is a little less bright than regular maple on the finger board so more rosewood-esque . . . I like to dial it more to the neck pup for a strong wooly p bass tone , to me it doesn’t bark as much as my old p bass but still has the punch at about 500 hz like a p , and then of course you can switch the pickup for varying degrees of that. . . The Bridge pup is exactly what you would expect , very glassy and punchy , I dial it to the bridge pup, run it in series and normally roll the tone back for more staccato funk stuff. Please feel free to ask anymore questions, it’s an excellent bass.

Sounds promising enough. Would be interested in audio. Thank you.

Man....I just got my first muck and it plays unbelievably well. Easily up there with or above the foderas, MTDs, f Basses, Coppolos....etc. if you remember, all of those brands are around double the cost or more. Best bass in this price range and the next!
