European fully-carved 3/4 double bass. Purchased new in 2001 from Gollihur in NJ, this bass was professionally set up locally with a new upgraded endpin and bridge, as well as fingerboard dressing. The action is currently set at its lowest and plays without buzzes, but the bridge is also adjustable for higher action if desired. This is a fantastic instrument for a high school or university music student, as well as a quality double bass for a jazz/acoustic player. For students, it's a big upgrade over rented or borrowed school basses. For pros, it's a great double bass to, well double. Bows well, and the arco sound is big and warm. In incredible condition with only very minor cosmetic finish checking and a few tiny chips in the lacquer. No damage or repairs ever needed. It was recently looked over by Michael Shank of Shank Strings in PA and found to be in fine shape. Includes K&K Bassmax pickup.
