Some of the best quality basses in the world are coming out of Germany. In my view, this is one of them.
If you have considered ordering a Maruszczyk bass similar to this one, and would be happy to NOT have to wait 4 to 6 months for it to be built, and you would enjoy all of the extra build upgrades, this is the bass for you! Comes with all paperwork as shown in images. It also came with an additional cream pearl pickguard, for swapping out from the tortoiseshell if desired! (For serious inquiries, I'd be happy to take a picture of the other pickguard on there as well) Just checked the setup/action, and re-strung this bass with a fresh set of GHS Pressurewound medium gauge strings.
Listing this one has not been an easy decision for me, but I now have other musical project obligations that require me to prioritize for something different. I custom-ordered this bass in early 2020, and it arrived in the fall of 2020. I spared little expense, and selected many upgrades (see specs below), as well as opting for the SKB case rather than a gig bag. I then had a professional luthier upgrade the passive electronics system, which now has the best available quality wiring, jacks, etc, with custom r/c treble bleed circuits on each vol pot and a custom no-load tone control. With the integration of 3 push-pull knobs and the passive Aguilar pickups, it is now like the Cadillac of tonal options! The available pickup combinations are as follows:
-3 push/pull switches, all down = both pickups "stock"
-P humbucker or dual single coil
-MM Humbucker or dual single coil
-MM disengage (P pickup only)
All in all, besides a few light surface scratches from the bench upgrade work by a professional luthier, this bass has only been played for about one hour's time, and is in MINT condition. I'd be willing to cover shipping on this if you are in the lower 48, but just don't tell anybody. Ha. Please let me know if you have any questions about it. Thanks
Please note, only the Maruszczyk bass, extra pickguard, and SKB case are included in this sale. Any other gear seen in the photos is not included.
