Occasionally, I'll get the inclination to try and play a 6 string, then decide that it's not for me. Due to some ongoing wrist tendonitis issues, it's definitely not for me now, so I'm selling this in order to fund a shortscale build that will be easier on my hand.
This bass is in amazing condition for a '92 model.
It was built by Michael Tobias as the 6-string prototype for the Killer B line. Apparently, this was during the transition phase when Gibson was buying out Tobias, and this instrument ended up getting stored in a case under someone's bed for over a decade.
Then Kevin Brubaker ended up acquiring it and finished putting together the electronics and the some other things. I actually reached out to Kevin a while back and he verified this.
